50 cents they couldn't give her just 1 more dinky little ornament to paint? Also, as I mentioned we paid $40 for the adult wristbands, which we were NEVER asked to show. The employee told her she could "just paint over it!" I was baffled.for what probably cost them less than. I don't know who was in charge of that, but since this is for children.why not provide washable paint?!?!? Then my daughters hand accidentally got shoved while she was painting so she walked up to the employee working the station to politely ask for another ornament. The games were a JOKE, just silly things like tossing a ring etc.! The craft was painting a little wooden ornament in which acrylic paints were provided! ACRYLIC! This will NOT come out if it gets on clothing. The shows were honestly lame, (maybe entertaining for a 2 year old at best). I could have set this whole event up in my back yard. The Fun Pass allows you to attend 4 shows, a train ride, play 6 games, and do a craft! EVERYTHING was very underwhelming. It's that we paid over $100 for what really is a $40 experience. So it's not that my children did not have fun. Now, keep in mind, I am comparing our experience to what we paid. So the total was a little of $100 dollars. There is a Memory Maker Fun Pass for $50, but we were not willing to spend that especially once we got there, the "park" did not seem worth that. I thought going to peppermint park would be an exciting, new thing to do with the kids! We purchased 2 Fun Passes for the kids at $30 each!! And 2 adult passes for $20 each. We'll be back to try out the Santa Claus breakfast next year. We need more live events like this for kids in Dallas area. Parts of the event needs to improve for next year but I gave this event 5 stars as I want it to succeed. Kudos to the shows and the worker elves, they were really fun and enthusiastic. They were somewhat confused when asked about tickets and directions. My suggestions for next year is revise how you charge adults and inform the hotel staff at front desk and parking lot better. Overall I recommend this event if you have kids up to 10 years as that is what the activities and shows are primarily geared to. The games area needed a little more supervision as the staff seemed young and inexperienced. The staff elves were probably the best part of the event as they all seemed really eager to help and engage with the kids. My husband and I thought the event was good and perfect for the kids. The food at the fire pit was a bit overpriced but that's to be expected at a big hotel. My only criticism on the tickets is not sure why we paid for a parent pass as it was not really needed since you could see the shows from the outside chained area but it was only $19. We paid $100+ for our 4 tickets and felt we got that in value. My kids liked the shows and the train, and their favorite was the Christmas tree that talks and sings and the reindeer party that they got antlers. We did not stay at hotel but came for the holiday park event, Peppermint Festival on Saturday night. We did several holiday events this year and this one was one of my kids favorites. They were somewhat confused when asked about.
