![]() Though, you could certainly Roleplay it out a bit. Kenshi's setting is sort of "unstable" and presents a world that's a bit too unpredictable for that kind of thing. Lastly - There is not a lot of potential for playing a kind of "Merchant Prince" who builds a financial empire. But, it's also not as deeply moddable as Skyrim, either.) (Kenshi is not like Skyrim in that regard, for instance. So, trying new mods and fairly easily casting them aside if you don't like them is quite possible with Kenshi. Modding in Kenshi is relatively straightforward and your saved game is relatively, or entirely, "safe." You can, for instance, easily remove/uncheck a mod and then recover a series of base-game-states using the Import feature that will handle cleaning up everything without being "destructive" to your game save. Someone may come along and give you a good recommendation or you can search the Workshop yourself for the more popular choices. IIRC, there is a sort of trader/merchant mod that seemed, IIRC, to directly support more of this kind of roleplaying. So, that could be "flavorful" for a Merchant Character playthrough. I think it's something like "Extended Contracts" or something like that. ![]() You could even, with mods, hire and continue to rehire the same Mercenaries. Paying for protection from Mercenaries is not cost-prohibitive, given you have enough items to sell. As a "Trader" you'd need extensive mod support for that. So, as a Manufacturer" you could have very profitable trade caravans. However, you can easily produce goods and then sell them for a profit. But, you wont' be able to "Buy Low, Sell High" to much effect. There are, however, price differences in towns/villages/waystations. There is not much in the way of strictly regional variability in price. Enhanced Shopping Economy, NPCs Enjoy More Trading (or something like that), etc. There are mods out there that could help.
